The unseen side of my daily walk: 3/5 Look down

in OCD5 years ago

It's time for the third, and I think the most difficult day of my little challenge and the theme is Look down.

The concept is to illustrate pictures that are around us every day but we normally do not see. Either because we are in a hurry or just because we don't look at the right place or even the right angle!

I divided it in 5 sub-themes which all together will illustrate the unseen side of my daily walk!

The 5 sub-themes are:

  1. Look closely
  2. Look up
  3. Look down
  4. Change your height
  5. Go colorblind

You can visit the first two posts through the links below.

Apparently I hadn't given enough thought to this specific theme. I mean it might be great to look down when you are on the top of a mountain with spectacular view or on the edge of a cliff above a dreamy beach but on my daily walk, not much!

A pit with water from last day's rain...

...and a more muddy one!

The ground with some interesting light on it (I must be desperate) :)

A pine cone! Isn't it exciting?

Lucky worm, a few hours earlier it would have been squeezed by a truck!

And of course flowers! The most obvious resort. But it's bugging me that I am looking closely and that was the first day's theme. There isn't any rule that says I cannot look down and closely at the same time (anyway I make the rules) but it is against the spirit of the game. I meant to come up with different kind of images for each day of the challenge and I hate to see me failing.

Looking down to my village or the road is different but it isn't unseen. I see it every day, can't miss it. I am looking for images I don't usually see.

My shadow on a bunch of lupines. I am getting close but still not what I want!

Ashes and half burned sticks. Kind of like this one!

Dog feet! Aha that's what I am talking about. Looking down, not too closely, from my usual high and in color. And part of the unseen, after all I normally look at the dog not his feet :)

But after all this I chose the neighbor's cat for the first picture of the post!

Which is your favorite one?

All the pictures and the words are mine.
