Hi friends, I am excited to be back fully on Hive right now. This is actually my first post in 2 years on this blockchain - although not with this particular account. Its been quite some journey. Since this Post will mark my return to Hive and not necessarily an introduction post, I will write a little about me, but much about my work and experience on a blockchain. To make it simple. here are the things I will cover:

A Little about Me
My name is Charles, from Nigeria. I have a Diploma in Computer Science. I have been in the IT industry since 2009. Content creation is something I do with passion, which is why I find Hive interesting. My first account is @focusnow. I decided to have a fresh restart with this one, especially as I have some really unique projects in mind to run here. So this account will be my main account going forward and it would be a sort of niche account. Well like I mentioned earlier, this post will be more about my work and what I intend doing here. So lets dwell more on that.
My previous Work on a Blockchain
I started my journey on the Steem blockchain in February 2018. It was a journey full of learning, experiences, challenges and and a story of determination. My personal account on the Steem blockchain was @focusnow. Together with a few friends, I founded a community called SteemAlive community. That community was active from July 202o till when I and my team decided to switch to Hive about two months ago.
Our community was probably the most successful Nigerian community especially with regards to the promotion work we did on Steem. But after studying how things have been working out and the general blockchain development on Hive, the community leadership agreed that its time to move over to Hive. Interestingly, majority of our community members were of the same opinion too. I will talk more about our Switch in the next paragraph.

Why come back to Hive now?
I have personally observed with real interest the development of this Hive blockchain. It has been nothing short of amazing. My first time of briefly joining hive 2 years ago, I would say I did not have a good grasp of what is obtainable here. That was partly the reason it did not take time for me to quit. But having intently observed the progress here, I really want to be a big part of the story.
One of the things I admire about Hive is its push to promote Web3. Hive operates in a far more decentralized manner than many other blockchains I know. The future of the web belongs to communities that are allowed to operate independent of any external influence or control. Hive have demonstrated that decentralization is a real possibility.
As a result of being the Web3 blockchain, Hive has powered many Dapps. The number of games, NFT and many other Dapps built on the Hive blockchain is a success story on its own. Being able to access the blockchain from many frontends has made Hive standout from the rest, giving many new and old users something to attract, pursue and enjoy. The reasons I switched back to Hive are many and not few.
Interestingly, I now have an entire community that are happy and have agreed to come over to Hive. The urge to do so is enormous. We are a strong network of friends that have worked hard together over the past two years. Switching over to Hive will give me and my friends the opportunity to grow something special and utilize more blockchain tools on Hive for community building.

How I Re-started my Hive journey
My first account which was last active 2 years ago is @focusnow. But because I want a fresh restart and the desire to build a niche, I have bought this account @fokusnow for 3Hive from blocktrades. A lot has changed since the last time I transacted on blocktrades. They now require KYC which I completed, but that is by the way.
Remember I mentioned that I was active on the Steem blockchain for some considerable time now as a Country Representative and Community Founder. When I made up my mind to switch to Hive about 2 months ago, I powered down my accumulated steem and also stopped publishing there. From the little I have, I have swapped some of my Steem for Hive and got 3000 Hive which I have powered up. You can see the transaction record below.

Again, I mentioned that this is not just me switching to Hive, an entire community is moving to Hive. I, with my team prepared for and held a launching event for our new community on Hive, in the city of Aba. This event was hosted in one of the best hotels in the City. The event officially marked our Switch from Steem to Hive. We unveiled the new community name, had some serious mentorship on the fundamental elements of blogging on Hive. We also gave gifts to those in attendance. We were impressed to see up to 40 members that were physically present to attend the launching event. In the next few days, if everything go as planned, we will announce the new community. In the meantime, I and my team will help our members to learn about Hive and start engaging with users on the platform. Then in the next few days to come, we can announce our community here as a niche.

Conclusion/Other things
It was not an easy decision to leave the previous blockchain and move to Hive with my leadership team, members and the entire community. We hope that we will be accepted. I personally and those with me switched completely to Hive. We really hope to be accepted into this great platform.
Of course like I mentioned, it wont be an easy transition. We are not in any form of hurry. I will take my time to study the Hive platform more, so as to be able to mentor others not to break platform rules. My knowledge and experience has taught me much about the importance of creating original content and shunning all forms of abuse. I will continue to learn and share with others what I have learned. Hopefully, it would be a great journey once again on Hive. Thank you friends!!!!!
