I haven't been writing as much lately and part of the reason behind that is because for the past week or so, I've been seriously considering starting my own show on MSP Waves. Up until just a few days ago, I had planned on starting a show soon with a co-host who would take care of all the OBS stuff as well as having someone to bounce ideas off of back and forth. It seemed like everything was full steam ahead until he ended up getting himself banned from the PAL Discord here recently. After hearing about this, I really questioned whether I would want to continue on with the show by myself or not. After thinking about it, I think I'd still like to start it sometime within the next couple weeks.
What would the show be about though?
Gaming!
Hive Gaming is the 4th largest community on Hive and yet the only show related to gaming on MSP Waves is for Splinterlands. While that's awesome, gaming itself encompasses so much more than just that from the latest news, rumors, and next-gen console info to games that seem promising and even awesome retro games.
Right now I'm thinking it'll be an hour long show, but that might get bumped up to 2 hours if I find that I'm not having enough time to talk about everything that needs to get talked about though. I think one hour should be plenty of time starting out at least.
The biggest things holding me back from starting it this week is two-fold. One is that I'd like to get an ethernet cable for my PC just to eliminate any chance of dropped connections over WiFi and to help with latency. The second is that I'd have to relearn some of the basics of OBS. r0ndon has been super helpful with answering questions that I've had lately as well as Crimsonclad.
Don't expect anything from me starting this week, but hopefully soon.
It's about time we get gaming on msp! 😃
I'm honestly surprised that someone hasn't done it yet, but I agree. It's long overdue.
