In Norwich England, hiding in plain sight is an art gallery. Hundreds if not thousands walk past it every day but I've never noticed anybody stop to actually look at it. In fact when I stopped to take photos I got some funny looks from people passing by.
It resides underneath the St Stephens roundabout. (Traffic circle for my American readers).
Not the most inviting entrance I admit
Down the ramp, or down the stairs depending on the direction you come from...
And voila! Secret graffiti art gallery.
The gallery is organised by Life in a fine city and curated by the pineapple obsessed artist Knapple

If you've read any of my other photography articles you'll know that I like to do research into some of my subjects, and this article will be no different. This artwork in particular has special meaning behind it. Something that makes the vandalism done to it extra infuriating.
The subject is Sergiusz Meges. In 2015 he was a rough sleeper in this very underpass. He passed away June 10th from a lower chest injury that was dismissed by the coroner as a drunken fall. However on June 17th someone confessed to a nightclub bouncer that they had kicked a homeless man to death a week earlier.
As far as I can tell, the investigation went no further and his death was ruled an accident. Sadly it seems the police will always put in minimum effort unless you leave behind family to make noise until they do something.

I hope you've enjoyed visiting the underground gallery. I like to think Hive allows people that will probably never visit Norwich to virtually "visit" the gallery.
