Welcome aboard to Hive @craftingwithreny! I really enjoyed your intro and seeing all of the amazing craft ideas. From a homeschooling mother of five I appreciate people like you who share creative ideas and help us parents keep our kids active and engaged in fun ways. I’m sure the HomeEdders and the Motherhood Communities will enjoy and value your publications!

Kudos to you on so many replies and getting back to your messages. On Hive we really value those that take the time to comment/reply and interact to those who are reaching out. It doesn’t go unnoticed ;)

Have Fun, Enjoy yourself and Make yourself at home! It’s great to have you here ~

Thank you @crosheille for the welcome! I hope you will find the ideas useful, they are best with 3-8 years old 😊 And they can keep them busy for a while haha. Our daughter is 2 y.o.so I can't wait to start with her soon. Anyway, thanks for the links I will check the communities for sure. I need to figure out the best channel to post my crafts. So any tips are most welcomed!

You’re welcome. 😉

My kiddos range from ages 3-11 so I will definitely be checking out your content!

For sure. When you get the time you can browse through the communities and check out their About sections. The cool thing is even though you can only post each publication in one community you can use your tags to reach more. For instance sometimes I may post in the HomeEdders Community but I use tags that are relevant to my content ie. #motherhood, #diy, #photography, #crafts etc. I make use of all 10 tags every time.

There is also a crossposting feature that you either love or hate but that also helps with reaching a variety of viewers.

That's a good tip, thanks! The tags didn't really work on other social media, so I will have to get accustomed to them.

Some already suggested that I should create my "own" category as there will easily be 10+ crafts a month, so in time it will grow + if I create something like that for my fan base it might be easier for the to get on board. Anyway, gotta think about it :D there is so much to do... and little time haha.

No problem! We like tags here and you'll quickly find out that community leaders aren't too fond when they are used incorrectly or are irrelevant to a post. I always suggest to people to make sure the tags they use fit their content.

Actually yes, I agree with that suggestion about creating your own community. We already have a DIY community but that consists of any type of diy. With your paper crafts being a specific art it would definitely be niche and could even possibly qualify to receive some support from our OCD Incubation Program. If this is something you decide to do later on feel free to get in touch with me so I can get you in the right place for the extra support ~

Until then, have fun, enjoy yourself as you get comfortable here and take it one step at a time. We aren’t going anywhere! 😄
