For a very long time I have had this unique Passion for music but then I didn't know that it was within me and it didn't come to my mind to consider giving it a try. Where I grew up, I didn't see any female instrumentalist and it wasn't even something that was in my mind that one day I'm going to be playing instruments.

I remember when I was younger I will take a song and then make my own version of it and will sing it with my friends. I had turns of composed songs when I was younger and didn't know what was coming in the future. As a child I didn't know I could really go for music because what my dad wanted was for me to become that perfect "Lawyer", my mum on the other hand didn't have a choice but then she was always like me going for what I want. As a child, abiding to what my parents says especially my dad was totally normal besides I was just a kid.

As I begin to grow , finished my secondary school, and then when I got an admission to study "Mass Communication" in Port Harcourt ( Rivers State) "Eastern Polytechnic", that's when it all unfolded.

To make the long story short, I joined the Lord's house choir (TLH) and it wasn't hard for me to blend in because they were family. They treated me so well like family and I can never forget each and everyone of us that was at "the Lord's house" and I know even as am not there anymore, it's still always part of me, anytime I'm around I make sure I go worship with them. Indeed "the Lord's house" gave me a lot of things, but that will be a story for another day.

One Go For A Better To Come:

I was in church that faithful Sunday, it was in the evening and every youth was round just as usual. At then, our keyboardist traveled for NYSC and so there was no one to take over and the meeting was how we can get another keyboardist as soon as possible as to start rehearsals, weekday service before even Sunday service. That was when someone introduced us to a keyboardist from another church, so we had to make a deal with him so as to fix when he will be coming to play for us not to stop him from going to his own church.

So the first day he came, I was just standing looking at him while he was playing the piano. I enjoyed the sound so much and he called me and he asked if I would want to play, I told him I had no idea on how to use that and he told me it was simple. So i argued "not that simple".

At the end of the day he ended up showing me few things and trust me, it was so complicating.
I was so confused The Black keys, the white keys, they where all looking the same not to notice their differences as I was just so clueless. Oh before I forget, His name is "FUTURE". Just as the name implies, the Young man was so bright and I could see his future so bright. He really was so kind to me and he is always part of my life story no matter what. I asked how much I should pay him, and he said "for free" I was so lucky!!!
Then after that day and few more days, we could only meet again in the future, I only had four classes with him and after then,

I had to travel out of Nigeria to go further my education as I got a scholarship to go study at "ESTAM UNIVERSITY" Bénin Republic, a neighbouring country. The major reasons why I apply for the scholarship was because I really wanted to learn French. The school I was "Eastern Polytechnic" was a private Polytechnic and it was partnering with "heritage" before they hard issues for some legal reasons, so they started partnering with a French institute. So one day just before my project defence, our director came to address us and told us what was on ground that our certificates were going to be coming from a French institute while we are in Nigeria, And the name in the certificate is going to be the name of that French institute and not "Eastern Polytechnic" so that was when I made a decision to not continue my higher national diploma (HND) as it was of no use if that was going to be the case. I couldn't just stay and go to a school in Nigeria and get a degree certificate from another country bearing that I studied there when I did not. How will I defend my certificate? I didn't want to complicate my self so I had to apply for a scholarship to study in a French speaking country so as to be able to defend myself when I tell people that I study at a French speaking country. Mass Communication in that case is very essential!!!

Travelling out to meet new people and new musical friends really wilden my view of music in different perspectives and I will say it really was a success for me...
