Rationality of Human Vs Animals

Lion is the King of the jungle. If killing for food is it, he is up for it! He could kill and kill and kill till he cannot kill no more.

But he would kill only one animal in a day - enough for his family to feast on, stay nourished and be satisfied. "There is always another day". And the animals are there to be hunted and killed, anyway. So, why hunt and kill many animals in one single day when only one will be needed?

Now, that is SUSTAINABLE THINKING from a beast. But a human is a totally different creature. A man, for instance, basically needs food, shelter and clothing to survive. He can add health to this three as the need arises.

But, put him in a position of authority, especially where he is in control of money, and you see him take beyond what his needs demand - mostly by pilfering. In fact, as far as man is concerned, "there cannot, and must not, be a tomorrow".

For instance, stolen commonwealth hidden in septic tanks or farms or stashed away in foreign banks and offshore accounts with no "next of kin" attached is OBVIOUSLY not meant to cater for basic needs. At best, it is hidden for a "future" that may neither come nor even be guaranteed.

Now, where is SUSTAINABLE THINKING in the man? Yet, we say a human is RATIONAL while an animal is not. From the foregoing, therefore, who is RATIONAL and IRRATIONAL between human and animal?
