I have spent many years traveling the world as a diver, the thing that got me into diving was the hope that one day I would get to see a whale shark. After 20 years of chasing whale shark seasons in Cuba, Thailand, Egypt and the Philippines that day finally arrived.
On a beautiful clear day myself along with Big Jim captured some great footage here's a short edit of that special day.

Did you know every user has their own profile map?
And so does every post as well!
Want to have your post on the map too?
It probably just wanted a hug.
Haha, I would have been happy to, my arms aren't long enough so a belly rub is probably more in order.
Absolutely unreal, there's some National Geographic stuff going on over there. Awesome, thanks for sharing.

It was a pretty special moment, iv'e seen a few since but generally fleeting encounters as they pass by.
I would say 20 years is worth the wait for something that magical.
Patience is a virtue as they say, the ocean is rich with life so iv'e had plenty of other things to feed my eyes while waiting for this day.
I love whale sharks! They are so cool.
Probably my favorite creature on earth, as a kid I saw them on documentaries and from then I wanted to dive with them. Took a long time for it to happen but finally got my reward.
