Memories!! Your daughter is lucky to have you as a dad. This independence was what my mother tried to do and she did well in trying to make independent...i learn a lot of life lessons from your post.
You have a chance to do more for your daughter, i guess you will be happier.

    I am sure like most kids, she will blame me for much of her life ills, but that doesn't mean she is right :)
