Progress in Rabona
This is my second post about the new blockchain game Rabona. Last couple of days, I am spending quite a bit of time with Rabona. I don't know how deep players are getting into it, but I like to understand the mechanism in as much detail as I can. So here is a update and a couple of question that will follow:
First of all, the way I get to this page is by click on Match button on my Fintures page. This is the summary results of the match played between FC United of CM and Disaster (which is my club). I lost the game 3-2 Goals. FC played 4-5-1 formation, which is basically a Counter-attack formation with a defensive mindset, while my team played 3-5-2, which is a solid mid-field heavy formation. As per the rule book on the game. It is an ideal set up from my end.
Above is the relative advantage - disadvantage of different formations available to the game. 3-5-2 has a 1.3 advantage over 4-5-1. I also checked both teams, and on paper my team was far superior compared to the opponenent's team in almost every single position.
Questions
This is to the experts and the game developers of the simulation. I am just trying to learn. Is there anything I did wrong? Is there anything you would have done to win this game? I understand that there is some amount of randomness in the game, and even if you do everything right it is still possible to loose a particular game. Therefore, if this is just sampling bias or undersampling, that's perfectly acceptable.
However, I am willing to learn if there is something I could have done differently. If anything like to have a discussion in the comment, I appreciate that.
Progress of Disaster!
I am currently in the second position in my league. I am trying to learn :)
Generally it is going well, and I have bought and trained a few players. Currently my teams finances are not good! As I am not earning any net cash flow, as my fan base is small and my level 6 stadium is about 46% capacity. I upgraded too soon looking like, I should have stopped at Level 5. Do you have any tips to tighten the finances?
Above is my cashflow statement. As you can see that I am deeply in the negetive. Any assistance to a fellow manager in highly appreciated! I must say I am having a lot of fun!
PS. Did you know I just scouted this amazing 3-5-2 player, but I have to bench him because some of his other skill sets are not as good!
Many footballs teams are going broke here, it's all those greedy players who think they are worth more than they really are, that's why your finances are bad.
As for the 3-2 loss, that's easy. They all went for a curry the night before and got pissed. It does affect performance the next day. You need to give them a good shouting at in the dressing room.
Does that help?
Absolutely that makes sense! :) Especially, the curry! They can potentially have food poisoining! LOL.
Don't know if you play. What is the name of your team?
Tempting as it is to throw myself into another game.. I don't. I have enough with Splinterlands, Rising Star and dCity. I do like Football Manager games though, they are more like role-playing.
As a Brit if you don't play this...!! Oh boy! See I got sentimental over nationality :)
Really you will enjoy it more than I do.
About that match, as I said earlier dada...just bad RNG luck. What could you have done differently....it's difficult to say, but if you see yourself playing 3-5-2 often, maybe a few training sessions of 352 would help. I personally never play 352 and have not trained my team for that formation. If my opponent comes with 451, I play 4231. Even though it's 1:1, but I have very good formation stats on 4231.
Here's an example of results that make no sense. This is a game from last season :
This was against a weak bot in the League of champions last season. I used the same team, with the exact same line up and won against some of the strongest teams just before and after that game.
About your finances, Lower your ticket prices to 30 dada. Because you have 1000 capacity, it makes more sense to attain full attendance first. Find the price at which you get full attendance first, then as your fans increase you can slowly increase the price by 2-3 RBN before your home games.
Thanks doc. Just wanted to have the discussion on the chain as well. Since my posts get visibility. It is good fir the game. More people are aware of Rabona, more will hopefully play.
Yes dada, that is definitely important! We need to get on chain discussions going!
Hi azircon, I think this has just been bad luck. I have not looked at the stats of your team vs. that of the other team, but you can always have a bad day and just be unlucky.
Other factors that may influence this:
Your formation stat is also adjusted for the individual stats of your players for this formation. SO maybe you might have matched a club, which no to play their 4-5-1 better than you do 3-5-2.
Then of course the individual stats of you players - keep in mind that OS is a help but not decisive. Important are the individual stats. So for example if you have two players with equal stats, tend to put the one with better shot ratios into the offensive midfield and the one with better defensive values in the midfield. Also, the team player score which also has an influence on your team stat does not influence the individual Overall strength values, but it does influence your team factor.
So my advise would be to play around a little until you find your perfect setup - and do not judge from individual games too much as you have just had a perfect day - or vice versa.
I think it could be RNG. My team have good stats in 3-5-2 and trained in that gameplay well. No worries just wanted to have a discussion on chain.
Just wanted to say that I am enjoying the game. I plan to give it a bit of visibility by writing about it from time to time. Normally my posts get a lot of visibility so that would be good for the game. Cheers!
Thank you for your help and support!
i answer - you and circle are scammers and abusers. no need to ask more questions ;)
