INTRODUCING MYSELF: Ankush from India

Hey everyone!
I am Ankush. This is my first ever post on Hive and I would like to introduce myself to this awesome community of HIVE.
My name is Ankush and I'm 21. I'm an engineering student doing Metallurgical and Materials engineering in India which is my motherland. I am interested in a lot of things such as music, sports, anime, watching movies and Art.
As of now I only do traditional art of the movies and TV series that I like and which inspires me. I've made it kind of a tradition to draw something from a series or movie that I liked very much.

This tradition started in 2017 when I was introduced to anime. Just like most people Death Note was my first anime. It left me in a state of awe and I felt a void in my heart after completing it. So to fill the void I started listening to death note's playlist on YouTube and started drawing its poster. This made me relive those memories of when I was watching them. Some parts of the theme reminded me of certain scenes. So all in all I felt like I re-watched It.

When I showed it to my friends they liked it and then went on to watch Death Note. This was better than convincing them to watch it. In 2021 I made an Instagram profile where I post my sketches to tell people about shows that I liked.

After the death note drawing, I stopped drawing for about 3 years because of some exam I was preparing for. I again started drawing in 2020 when I watched Vikings. Ragnar was such a great character and the music of Vikings was also good. So made this to pay homage to the awesome character of Ragnar Lothbroke AKA wrath of God.

I have a lot of movies and TV series sketches to show you guys, most of them are mainstream unfortunately but I'd share them anyways 😘.

My favourite anime right now is Attack on Titans and my favourite Series is Band of Brothers. Band of Brothers got me into World Wars, after BOB I've watched almost every movie that's on WW2 from the invasion of Poland to the trial of Nuremberg along with a few documentaries. And one war movie turned out to be my favourite movie of all time,Hacksaw Ridge. I have a sketch on that too. Some other movies, anime and tv series I liked are Forrest Gump, Vikram Veda, Up, Wall-E, GOT, walking dead, Teen wolf, Code Geass, Another, berserk.

In sports, I play a lot of cricket which is a very famous sport in my country. There was a time when I wanted to be a professional cricketer but that's long gone, now I want to be a professor in some reputed university because teaching is cool 😎.

About cryptocurrency and this platform, I have very little to no knowledge. Looking forward to learning from you guys about everything. Read your stories, see your craft and share mine. Hope you'll like my traditional art. Also, I want to learn digital art.
