Together, we form the Muñoz Pino family, a home built on love, migration, resilience, hugs, stumbles, miracles, and many new dawns.
Today, we open this space to introduce ourselves, share who we are, and tell you OUR STORY.

Somos Luis Alberto Muñoz (56), Auramar Susik Pino de Muñoz (36), nuestra hija Michelle Alejandra (12) y nuestro pequeño príncipe, Alan Alberto(7).
Juntos formamos la familia Muñoz Pino, un hogar que ha sido construido con amor, migración, resiliencia, abrazos, tropiezos, milagros y muchos nuevos amaneceres.
Hoy abrimos este espacio para presentarnos, compartir quiénes somos y contarles NUESTRA HISTORIA.
Our Story: A Journey That Began 6 Years Ago
We are a Venezuelan family, born in Cumaná, Sucre State, in northeastern Venezuela.
Six years ago, we made one of the most difficult and courageous decisions of our lives: to emigrate.
Our journey began by leaving our homeland, and it took us first to Maracaibo, in western Venezuela. We were only going for a few days… but life had other plans.
The pandemic arrived, and like many families in Latin America, we were stranded there, amidst uncertainty, silence, and hope. That was the first chapter of a journey that not only moved us from one city to another, but also changed us deeply.
Nuestra historia: un viaje que comenzó hace 6 años
Somos una familia venezolana, nacida en Cumaná, estado Sucre, al nororiente de Venezuela.
Hace seis años tomamos una de las decisiones más difíciles y valientes de nuestra vida: emigrar.
Nuestro camino comenzó dejando nuestro terruño, y nos llevó primero a Maracaibo, en el occidente de Venezuela. Íbamos por unos días… pero la vida tenía otros planes.
La pandemia llegó, y como muchas familias en Latinoamérica, quedamos detenidos allí, entre incertidumbres, silencios y esperanzas. Ese fue el primer capítulo de un viaje que no solo nos movió de ciudad, sino que nos movió por dentro.
Our Experience as Migrants: We decided that in this blog we would share everything:
✨ The initial doubts.
✨ The nights when we didn't know what would happen.
✨ The makeshift jobs.
✨ The successes and failures.
✨ The moments when faith was stronger than fear.
✨ The small victories that only a migrant knows.
✨ The joy of seeing our children adapt.
✨ The silent effort behind every step.
And also, most importantly:
how we were reborn in Colombia, how we rebuilt ourselves, and how we found new opportunities from scratch.
Colombia opened its doors to us and allowed us to create a home full of life, hope, and opportunities.
Today we are grateful for every sunrise here.
Lo que hemos vivido como migrantes: Decidimos que en este blog vamos a contar todo:

cómo renacimos en Colombia, cómo nos reconstruimos y cómo encontramos nuevas oportunidades desde cero. Colombia nos abrió las puertas y nos permitió crear un hogar.

Because migrating isn't just about moving to another country.
Migrating is about transformation.

And we feel that our experiences, our laughter, our wounds, and our lessons learned can become a light for other migrants, other families, and other people who are also seeking a new dawn.
Porque migrar no es solo mudarse de país.
Migrar es transformarse.
Es aprender, soltar, renacer y volver a creer.
Y sentimos que nuestras experiencias, nuestras risas, nuestras heridas y nuestros aprendizajes pueden convertirse en luz para otros migrantes, otras familias y otras personas que también buscan un nuevo amanecer.

You are a wonderful family! It is not easy to leave behind the life you had in your country. The metaphor of a new dawn is apt, as you have to start over in every aspect of your life. I am glad to see that you have turned this into a way of helping others who are going through the same thing. You will undoubtedly be able to help many people.

Sí, somos una familia de migrantes y sentimos que tenemos mucho que aportar desde nuestra experiencia vivencial. Nuestro proceso migratorio ha sido largo, incluso estando en un país vecino de Venezuela. Parte de ese recorrido se alargó porque, durante la pandemia, quedamos estancados en un mismo lugar por casi dos años. Fue un proceso profundo, retador y muy transformador.
Llegamos a Hive gracias a la invitación de nuestra hija mayor, @carolinawnn, y de su pareja, @davidjesuscd . En aquel momento no pudimos aceptar la invitación porque no contábamos con una computadora, lo cual hacía imposible participar activamente en las comunidades y dinámicas de la plataforma. Hoy, gracias a Dios, ya contamos con esa herramienta y decidimos dar el paso y aceptar esa invitación que nos hicieron con tanto amor.
En lo personal, me ha tocado comenzar de cero después de haber tenido estabilidad. Ha sido un proceso de mucho aprendizaje. Nuestros hijos, sin duda, han sido un orgullo, pero sobre todo han sido grandes maestros para nosotros.
Soy ingeniero en procesos industriales y durante gran parte de mi vida me he dedicado a resolver problemas técnicos en distintos campos. Sin embargo, a raíz de la migración y la pandemia, la vida me llevó a resolver problemas de todo tipo: desde una lavadora hasta un televisor. Esa capacidad de adaptación también forma parte de nuestra historia.
Mi esposa, Auramar Pino, es actualmente coach internacional en Amor propio, certificada aquí en Colombia, y también tiene un camino muy bonito que desea compartir con las comunidades.
Siempre hablaremos desde el nosotros, no solo desde el “yo”, porque nos consideramos un equipo. Nuestros hijos también quieren participar, compartir y expresarse, y por eso estamos organizando con cariño las historias, experiencias y aprendizajes que deseamos compartir con ustedes.
