Workday Blog //What kind of job do I work at?

in OCD2 years ago

Hello Friends How are you I hope you are very good?

I divide my articles that I publish on my own blog into various categories so that I can create my own layout and help readers understand what kind of content they will encounter when they look at the title.

Since I will write articles on different subjects, it is important for me to keep my content more organized. Apart from my informative articles, I will also talk about what I do in my daily working life.

I like to tell about this because I go to many different places due to my job and I try to find solutions and problems related to my job, I hope my colleagues who do the same job as me will make the article richer by making comments.

I'm a geotechnical technician, my job is to control the fabrications made in the field. In addition, we carry out a number of tests for quality control in the field and in the laboratory environment, in this way, after checking the productions in the field, we issue a certificate of conformity.

If there are unsuitable productions, we correct these productions and ensure that they serve in the best way.

The project I am currently working on is an irrigation project. We are doing the continuation of a project whose dam production was completed before. In this way, water will go to many lands and farmers will be able to irrigate their crops more easily.

One of the most important things to be done in irrigation projects is that the pipes used must have passed the conformity tests. Pipes that successfully pass the test process are brought to the construction site and productions are made.

In the project I am currently working on, a total of 13500 meters of pipes with different diameters are buried in the ground. These pipes are welded before they are buried.

The personnel who will carry out the welding operations must have the capacity to do this job and also have a document showing that he/she has done this job. This pipe, which is resistant to different diameters and pressures, is melted at different temperatures and welded with the help of a welding machine. This is a subject that requires dedication and sensitivity.

In addition, while the pipes are being laid, the excavation is done at the excavation depth specified in the project and the materials that have been previously approved for the pipes are laid on the area where the pipe will be lowered and compacted, and then the pipes are lowered here.

After the pipes are lowered, the core is first covered with a thin material and the compression process is done again. After these processes, the top of the pipe is completely closed. This is the general progression.

Our aim is to ensure that these productions are perfect and to control the work done by making tests where necessary. If there is any problem in the production, it is to remove the wrong production and have the correct production done again.

I do not want to prolong the article too much, friends, from now on, I will share with you my articles about my work on some days of the week.

If you share your work, it would be great for me, so that we can have an idea about how different professions work during the day.

Also, if you're going to ask why I'm sharing this post here, I'm new, I don't know if there is a community that will accept this type of post, if you have any suggestions, I'm always open to this suggestion.

Thank you very much for reading my article. See you in my next article.

Hello @ahmtdmr. Thank you for sharing details about your work with the community.

I see you're new on Hive, so let me drop you a few suggestions to help you navigate better on our platform.

We have different communities on Hive and we're encouraging users to post in the right community based on the topic of the post.

OCD is for topics that don't fit in any other community and should be used when you don't find a niche community for your post.

Here's a guide I put together to help you learn about how communities work and why you should use them -> Communities Explained - Newbie Guide.

Once you posted your post in the right community, you can then cross post it to OCD community. Here's a guide about cross posting.

Please don't delete any post with the purpose of reposting it in another community as that can be considered abuse!

Thank you very much for the information you provided. In the light of the information you have provided, I will publish the articles I have prepared in the right communities from now on 🙏

You're welcome and happy blogging!
