This lesser known gem is made from whole wheat flour which is rolled into thin chapatis, dusted with whole wheat flour and sundried. Once fully dried they are deep fried which give Uttarakhand it's unleavened flatbread, another specialty of this flatbread is that it keeps crisp and can be stored for a longer period of time.

A preperation that has been present in every household but is still unknown to the outside world as an integral part of the cuisine in Uttarakhand.
