RE: ENGAGE Token Distribution Stats 📊

in OCD5 years ago (edited)

A side chain yes. Found the introduction post which will do far better at explaining things than I.

https://steemit.com/steemengine/@aggroed/introducing-steem-engine-com

Things may have evolved slightly since then, and there are a ton of tokens now.

With the long-awaited Smart Media Tokens coming soon (2+ years 'soon'), it's going to be interesting to see how these Steem-Engine tokens fair. I think that some will likely migrate over, and that there will be no need (thinking the Steem Monsters related tokens) for some.

Sort:

I think Smart Media Tokens will be interesting, very different from ETH, EOS and TRX tokens considering the distribution that occurs here. I also read a post about users being able to invest by delegating their Steem to projects in exchange for tokens. Something I haven't seen happen anywhere else. This blockchain is really ahead of its time and I'm getting very excited investing in it. :-)

Good to hear!

I also read a post about users being able to invest by delegating their Steem to projects in exchange for tokens.

This has been around a while in various guises. Steemhunt, and I think actifit also reward tokens (or at least STEEM) for delegating stake. But yes, I don't think this hasn't really kicked off yet and hopefully SMT will help.

When I'm sad about waiting for SMT, I always go back to this post for a reminder :)

and some lesser known creator had a go on the subject a while back too

Those were some good posts, thanks for the links! :-)

No worries.

The search of Steem content is best done in google I find, but i guess a bit of author knowledge helps though.

WOW that post by @donkeypong was very powerful!! Ha, I upvoted it but nothing happened, I guess because it's an old post? :-D Did I lose voting power?

Will read yours next!

Yeah I am fond of that post and have shared it a few times.

Posts can only earn for 7 days, then any votes cast do not count and you don't lose any VP. I use https://steemworld.org/ to check my accounts business and find it the most presentable of chain 'windows'.

What we do have the option of doing now is Cross-posting an old post into a community. And so I guess if there was an SMT community, you could cross-post this one into there. You are the poster (of the link and short description) but the original author takes 90% of the reward via beneficiaries.

There is much to take in and I'm learning daily after being here pretty much daily for 3 years or so!
