¡Hola, esto es Waralwa!
Hi, I hope you are feeling great!

Last month I participated in the #bocettober2024, which involved drawing on paper 16 themes related to Peruvian culture. There were several topics which I didn't know anything about and I loved researching them.

For this I took as a reference the Shipibo konibo ethnic group. This boy wears his kushma (men's clothing) and walks with his Jaguar everywhere. The coco, is one of those important foods in life in the Amazon.

Titi, the Tawantinsuyense feeds the people, bringing one of the most exquisite food and source of protein as the guinea pig...isn't he a super hero?.

Pataclaun

Pataclaun was a series in the late 90s. Each member of Pataclaun was an exaggeration of their fears. The characters were: Machín, Wendy, Monchi and Pipo (their dog), Queca, Tony and Gonzalete (the last 3 were little ghosts).

In this drawing I depicted Pacha mama with his red ball (characteristic of the Pataclaun), Pipo, who was one of the creators of the series and the guitar of Pelo Madueño, as if representing its opening and ending sung everywhere at that time.

In October, in Lima (capital of Peru) we have the tradition of eating turrones (nougat). In addition, the mes morado or Señor de los Milagros (Christ of Pachacamilla) is celebrated.

I now know that if I ever eat Nougat, it should be no bigger than a spoonful. As an empty food, it won't fill me up. It is also quite sweet.

... Jikisiñkama!
... ¡Nos vemos!
... See you later!.
