The sacred ibis (mixed media on a old cover of a destroyed book)

Hello hivers, I wish you a wonderful Saturday!
Contrary to what I thought yesterday, today is a sunny warm day here in my area. There are just few white clouds on the sky that make me think about some sheep on a quiet, peaceful field. 😊

This morning I cleaned my backyard enjoying the good weather and after I placed myself in my working corner where I started to work on a couple of new small painting.
I just finished one of them and so I'm here to show you the final result:

Maybe you remember days ago I shared with you some pics I took to a Sacred Ibis I watched along the side of the river close to my home (you can read more about it here). To watch it there it was a surprise fo us, because the Sacred Ibis is not a common bird here in Italy.
Thinking about that beautiful bird, I decided to paint it in my own illustrative style.

It's a mixed media (acrylic colors, oil colors and white ink) painting on on an old cover of a destroyed book and, as usual, I took some pics while I was painted the bird so you can see the process too:
