An happy Monday to you all! I hope you spent a nice weekend in relax, here it was a very rainy Sunday and so me and my hubby @paolobeneforti spent all the day inside our home, but today the Sun is shining on the sky and we can enjoy a little time outside. ^_^
Today I'm here to show you an artwork I painted yesterday about a freaky Armadillo. You can read more about this little animal here. In my country there are no armadillos, but watching some pics of it I was very intrigued by its shell similar to an armor and so I thought to paint one of them in my own illustrative style.

As you can see, I added one of my tiny scenes about home on the body of the armadillo, painting the roof of the tiny house similar to the shell of the animal. To be honest, it was funny to image and to paint this armadillo. ^_^
It's a mixed media painting (oil and acrylic colors) on 200 gsm paper in A4 size and, like I use to do, I took some pics while I was painted it so you can see the process too:

Wow your art style is really, how say it, distinct or unique... I really like it. It reminds me as a kid watching old cartoons with a similar kind of art style, it brings back good memories... Even though you haven't seen one in person, the armadillo painting turned really amazing!

Cute. They are strange creatures that I've only seen in a zoo. Nature comes up with wonderful adaptations.

Yes, they are really strange creatures! Here in my area there is an interesting zoo I visited some times in the past, but there were no Armadillos (or just I don't remember them). Yesterday I watched some short videos of them and they are really interesting animals.^_^
