Sketching freaky cats in freedom (mixed media on paper)

Hello hivers, an happy Sunday to you all!
It's a rainy day here, the sky is full of dark clouds and my mind looks a little slowly this morning. Since a couple of days I'm feeling the need to "feed" my imagination (sometime it happens! 😊 ) and so I'm trying to do all the things usually help me to do it: to read a book, to take some random pics around with my camera, to fix some ideas on my sketchbook and to walk along the side of the river close to my home.
To feed my imagination is really important for my work on art. As you know I use my own illustrative style to represent what I have to share with my artworks and, even if it could be sound a little strange, to use a good illustrative style could be more difficult than to paint in a realistic style, because there no one subject and no one scene that you can follow step by step to represent what you want, the most part of the work is just inside your mind and so you have to "feed" it in different ways.

This morning, searching an interesting way to paint freaky cats, I exercise my hands on my sketchbook:

As you can see, I was trying some different kind of cats in freedom. To be honest, I'm not very satisfied by te result, but they can help me to find the right way.
I used acrylic colors, oil colors and white ink on paper and, like I use to do, I took some pics while I was painting these funny animals so you can see the process too:
