Hello hivers, an happy Tuesday to you all!
It's October 29 and yes, the Halloween day is just around the corner, as you know.
Here in Italy we celebrate this day with the "trick or treat" for children just since very few years, it's not a part of our traditions folklore, and when I was younger I've never seen the halloween decorations for home or inside the shops.
When I was a child and a young girl, the only ritual was to go to the cemetary to visit our beloved ones during the November 2.
I remember that days like a sad days. My grand mother and my mom used to clean the graves days before that day, they added fresh beautiful flowers (usually chrysanthemums) and, in the November 2 sad faces, black dresses and, as you can understand, prayers and rosary. Children couldn't smile. Remember that time, to be honest, I prefer to see children smile during their "trick or treat". I'm pretty sure my beloved dad, who was a very good old man, prefer to see the smiles of the children more than the tears. ❤️❤️❤️
This morning I woke up soon (like >I use every day) to work on my artworks and I decided to spend a little time for some small paper decorations on the theme! In the following pic, you can see the final result:
I used oil colors and white ink on around 300 gsm paper to create a sort of scene and, like I use to do, I took some pics while I was painted the pieces so you can see the process too:
I hope you like it!
See ya soon and stay safe,
Silvia

I definitely love your artwork. That's a very cute witch.
Also, in Venezuela we don't do "treat or trick" but peple here started to use Halloween decorations for their houses and businesses some years ago.
