River flow (Acrylic on canvas)

in Sketchbook3 years ago

Hi everyone, today I am back with a new painting. A photo of painting by Micheal James Smith is referenced to paint this. I use acrylic color and lower the tones comparing to the reference photo. Moreover, the water is painted on my way by using hard brush to show the flow. I am making a cup of coffee while looking at this practice on my easel.

These days I love to repaint some pictures that I love to modify them and find out the style which fits to me. Sometimes it looks good, sometimes it looks bad but in general, I was happy painting them. Here below are some WIP photos:

It is 30 x 35 centimetres on canvas. It looks impressionist to me and I am happy with the water most. I had a problems mixing green tones to vary the green background and leaves. Hope you guys enjoy the painting. Art brings us closer.
Wish you all safe and sane!
Cheers!
