Hi everyone! 😄
Still on my good drawing habit, I draw again a series of famous characters, to study how they are made, and how I can make my own.
I try to choose characters from animated films, because they are really dynamic and we can easily find nice posings to study on the internet. The next exercise would be to focus on one single character and to decline it into posings without references, just by knowing how the character is constructed.
As always, I prefer to draw animals - but I don't forget to try my hand at human models too.
Here at the top of the page, I drew Jim Hawkins from Treasure Planet. The left one was my first attempt, but it wasn't good in terms of proportions and dynamics. So the right one is better.
The rest of the page wasn't done in the same day, and I think that's obvious; and that's proof that the mood we're in affects our line and confidence in the drawing a lot.
Then I did Hades, wich is a really good villain. At the first time I didn't understand how his head was made, so I made a few attempts before I realised that his head is literally a rhombus, and made with a lot of pointed shapes - and in character design, that's a code that defines villains, because it's a shape that inspired us danger and unkindness.
I also drew Klauss - which is a really good animated film, not specifically for the scenario, which is quite simple, but for its great animation and lighting techniques.
And so the character design is also really good and very nice to study, his dynamics make him both light and lively in the animation.
Hope you will like it.
See you soon for more creations!
Nice work ✨
Thank you 😊
They are REALLY nice! =) Have you watched Aaron Blaise on YouTube? I think you could take a lot from his videos! =)
I knew him but I didn't take time to watch his videos, I will look at it for sure, thanks for the tip and for your comment =)
