Hi hivers!
Last week was one of the most stressful I've had xD, I was with some remodeling (still to finish) in my house and I couldn't draw as much as I would have liked, I like to take advantage of my day to day doing what I like the most which obviously is drawing, and going out of that routine that I enjoy to a total chaos makes me collapse and gives me a lot of stress. I took advantage of some of those days and went to see my nephews to swimming lessons hehe it was quite nice, I had time without sharing with them or my cousin (whom I consider my foster sister).
For the weekend I managed to make this illustration, with which I wanted to convey the message of this short film from the movie "Dead Poets Society".

La semana pasada fue una de las más estresantes que he tenido xD, estuve con algunas remodelaciones (aún por terminar) en mi casa y no pude dibujar tanto como me hubiera gustado, me gusta aprovechar mi día a día haciendo lo que más me gusta que obviamente es dibujar, y salir de esa rutina que disfruto a un caos total me hace colapsar y me da mucho estrés. Aproveché algunos de esos días y fui a ver a mis sobrinos a clases de natación jeje fue bastante agradable, tuve tiempo sin compartir con ellos ni con mi prima (a la que considero mi hermana de crianza).
Para el fin de semana conseguí hacer esta ilustración, con la que quería transmitir el mensaje de este corto de la película "La sociedad de los poetas muertos".

To begin with I made my sketch, then I was hesitating about how to paint the illustration, but I preferred to do something monochromatic because I still need to practice well the grayscales, I usually use a lot of black or white, so this time I tried to stay only in the gray palette avoiding at all costs the pigments mentioned above.
Para empezar hice mi boceto, luego estuve dudando sobre cómo pintar la ilustración, pero preferí hacer algo monocromático porque aún necesito practicar bien las escalas de grises, suelo usar mucho el negro o el blanco, así que esta vez intenté quedarme sólo en la paleta de grises evitando a toda costa los pigmentos antes mencionados.

After finishing the skin I began to give details to the roses, while I was doing it I thought of changing the leaf that held the figure for a pencil, with this I want to imply that you write your own destiny and that you should take advantage of the days to enjoy, grow, learn or other things.
Después de terminar la piel empecé a dar detalles a las rosas, mientras lo hacía se me ocurrió cambiar la hoja que sujetaba la figura por un lápiz, con esto quiero dar a entender que tu escribes tu propio destino y que debes aprovechar los días para disfrutar, crecer, aprender u otras cosas.

I continued with the details on the roses, first I placed the base colors on them, and then with some brushes I began to texture them in both light and shadows, I wanted them to look like withered roses.
Finally I placed some stains in the background and others on the skin, I also retouched some shadows. I hope you like the message and the final result of the illustration. Happy beginning of the week to all.
Continué con los detalles en las rosas, primero les coloqué los colores base y luego con unos pinceles comencé a texturizarlas tanto en luces como en sombras, quería que parecieran rosas marchitas.
Por último coloqué algunas manchas en el fondo y otras en la piel, también retoqué algunas sombras. Espero que les guste el mensaje y el resultado final de la ilustración. Feliz comienzo de semana a todos.

Es una pieza espectacular, se ve que fue hecho con mucho esfuerzo y paciencia, las rosas y la mano en primer plano son lo que más destacan y me gusta mucho los detalles que tienen. Nunca he dibujo en digital en blanco y negro pero creo que deberia hacer unas cuantas prácticas ya que he notado que ayuda a mejorar el acabado de los contrastes. Te felicito por tu dibujo y espero que esta semana sea mucho más relajada pero igual de provechosa para ti. :)
