Arts Day at Estancia Padilla.

We all have some artist in us and I have been exploring that lately, even if I am not a great painter, dancer, composer or singer, I have always loved to be a spectator of those who know how to dazzle the world with their artistic skills and yesterday I was a practitioner of that again at Estancia Padilla, a haven for all the artists of the city and a sanctuary for all lovers of fine arts.

When we went @apeboy @manucortes13 and I arrived just in time for the start of the dance groups' performances, the person who is just now in charge of the estancia would give a few words before each artistic performance and encourage us to stay until the end. During the break we read about the history of the Padilla family and the annex that explained how they have adopted many children throughout their history who continued the lineage as artists in all possible areas.

There were many presentations, there were artistic dances, poetry presentations and also the display of art galleries with paintings done by local artists. From the moment we arrived I let myself be carried away by both the music and the dances that were being presented, forgetting the thousand daily problems that end up tormenting us all and I realized how much I needed this afternoon of arts and music. Among all the dances, there was one couple (photo attached below) that stood out for me, their dedication to dance and their expressions made me feel like a totally different person... Something really unique if you ask me.

These are the kind of events that we should preserve for future generations and those who continue to defend the permanence of this small cultural center understood it. I hope soon to upload more in detail what this wonderful place looks like. Over and out.
