Good afternoon my dear readers, happy Friday to all of you and I hope you have had an excellent and productive week, your friend Manuel greets you and once again I am very happy to share with you a new artistic post for my blog. This time I come to bring you a work with a free theme for a change, this time it is a drawing that I made while sketching a little and in which I wanted to represent a kind of girl of the performs smoking a pipe with British or elegant style while contemplating in front of her the sun falling while the blue night rises behind her; I hope you like it and here I will leave you with the process of creation:
Buenas tardes mis queridísimos lectores y lectoras, feliz viernes para todos y espero que hayan tenido una excelente y productiva semana, por aquí los saluda su amigo Manuel una vez mas super feliz de poder compartirles un nuevo post artístico para mi blog. En esta ocasión vengo a traerles una obra con temática libre para variar un poco, esta vez se trata de un dibujo que realice mientras bocetaba un poco y en la cual quise representar a una especie de chica de la realiza fumando una pipa con estilo británico o elegante mientras contempla frente a ella el sol caer mientras la noche azul se levanta a sus espaldas; espero les guste y aquí los dejare con el proceso de creación:
PROCESS / PROCESO
I started by making strokes and looking for a structure more like a portrait in which the girl, which in this case I will call with the name of (Sariem), and in which she was like leaning on a balcony or terrace while holding in her hand a pipe of old and elegant style. Having finished with the sketch I went directly to the coloring in a different layer, in the case of the skin for example I used tones like soft pink and with the help of my watercolor brush I was working the details of volume in the skin, as well as with the lights and shadows; then for the section of the eyes I used a little more contrasting and striking tones like violet and dark purple for the pupil, as well as for the lips I used red and orange trying to give them good volume.
Empecé realizando trazos y buscando una estructura mas como de retrato en la cual la chica, que en este caso llamare con el nombre de (Sariem), y en la cual ella estuviese como apoyada sobre un balcón o terraza mientras sostiene en su mano una pipa de estilo antiguo y elegante. Habiendo terminado con el boceto me pase directamente al coloreado en una capa diferente, en el caso de la piel por ejemplo use tonos como el rosa suave y con ayuda de mi pincel acuarela fui trabajando los detalles de volumen en la piel, al igual que con las luces y sombras; luego para el apartado de los ojos use tonos un poco mas contrastantes y llamativos como el violeta y morado oscuro para la pupila, así como también para los labios use rojos y naranjas tratando de darles buen volumen.
For the 2nd stage of the painting process I worked on the hairstyle of (Sariem), in this case I took some brown tones and I decided to create a very very long hair with a small fringe in the forehead area, little by little I created long strokes, especially on the sides, and for the forehead area I tried to make a little more curved and bright strokes. After the hair I continued with the clothes, in this case I decided to create a kind of loose dress with reddish and brown tones to complement the elegant style I wanted to give to the character; something I also like to do is to take the watercolor brush and with the white color give subtle shines to all the fabric.
Para la 2da etapa del proceso de pintado me ocupe de trabajar el peinado de (Sariem), en este caso tome algunos tonos marrones y me decidí por crear una cabellera muy muy larga con un pequeño flequillo en la zona de la frente, poco a poco fui creando trazos largos, sobre todo en los lados, y para la zona de la frente trate de hacer trazos un poco mas curvos y brillantes. Después del cabello seguí con la ropa, en este caso me animé a crearle una especie de vestido holgado con tonos rojizos y marrones para así complementar un poco el estilo elegante que quería darle al personaje; algo que también me gusta hacer es tomar el pincel acuarela y con el color blanco darle sutiles brillos a toda la tela.
In the case of the pipe my idea was to give it a very very old and elegant look, as if it had belonged to his ancestors, for this I took some light browns and yellows to work the texture of the pipe so that it resembled porcelain, for this I created more rounded strokes, and in the area of the mouthpiece I gave glitter in the upper part. Finally, with my rough brush I created clouds just at the bottom of the canvas which I blurred slightly, but I also created a small trail of smoke coming out of the pipe to give the real idea that it is lit.
En el caso de la pipa mi idea era darle una apariencia muy muy antigua y elegante, como si hubiese pertenecido a sus antepasados, para esto tome algunos marrones claros y amarillos para trabajar la textura de la pipa de modo que se asemejara mucho a la porcelana, para esto cree trazos mas redondeados, y en la zona de la boquilla di brillos en la parte alta. Finalmente, con mi pincel de rugoso cree nubes justo en el fondo del lienzo las cuales difumine levemente, pero también cree una pequeña estela de humo saliendo de la pipa para dar la real idea de que esta encendida.
