Bouquet - Ink Drawing, 21x16 cm, 2022

Bouquet was the theme of day 6 of the Inktober challenge. I grew all kinds of flowers in my garden this year. I decided to feature some of them in my bouquet. Unfortunately, I did not have time to post about the garden before the summer ended. But I hope I can do it before October ends at least. It was so wonderful. Every time I think about it, I smile ear to ear. You will see what I rave about soon! ^^

So in the previous post, I mentioned how I am a bit nocturnal. Yeah. I stayed up till after 6 am for this one. I am a bit worried about it at this point. Am I taking it too far? I will soon have to install the sunlight lamps around the house if I continue down this path. I might need them regardless. It is getting so dark quickly here already. The winds are picking up, and the leaves are swirling off the trees at a rapid pace. I say a week from now everything will be gloomy to look at. And while it has its charm, I am not looking forward to how it affects my mental state year after year.

Hey! Maybe that is why I compensate with such bright colors in this artwork. Nah, you know me! I love vibrant stuff in my life!

The process

For this one, I did not have a planned sketch. I sat down and reached for my liquid Diamine inks right away. The music kept me company as I visualized, in my mind, all the beautiful flowers I grew in the garden. I did not want to paint them exactly as they were. Instead, I kept the shapes a bit more abstract yet still recognizable to some degree. The process flowed easily, and I was in my little meditational bubble the entire time. Once the inks were in place, I wanted to pronounce some of the areas using black Pigma Micron fine liner 03 for darker areas and Sakura Gelly Roll 08 in white for brighter areas.

I love how it turned out! I want to stare at every bit of it up close, and it just makes me happy!

Look at the lineup I got going here. It is so satisfying to look at these side by side. More! We need more, right?

Thank you once again for being here and having a look at my latest creations. It means a lot!

This is absolutely gorgeous! Congrats!

Woah, thank you @erikah! I had so much fun creating this one. I was completely in the zone and chilling.

I can see that, the painting can tell me. However, you need to fix your sleeping habits as it's nit healthy long term 🙂

Yep, gonna work on it! Will basically force myself to go to sleep at certain times and hope I can fall asleep. Definitely need more daylight and sunshine.

If you can stay up and miss a day of sleep, you can be so tired that you will fall asleep the next night for sure. The road is easier from there 😀

Absolutely outstanding, love the technique and details as well...

Thank you so much @priyanarc! I love poking at the paper for hours and getting all those tiny details in. It is oddly fun and enjoyable not gonna lie :)

I will try to create something like that, I used to do architectural sketches a lot but now I feel like I have forgotten everything. It's quiet relaxing and satisfying when I create something out of the box or out of my comfort zone. You are a very talented person...

oh - it is that time of year already!! :D

Ahaha! The time to spam your feed with colorful artworks? Heck yeah! :P At least I will not do all 31 days this time. Even though now that I have a tiny pile, I wish I had all 31. xD Too late for that.

lol - afterthought art!

I don't mind my feed being filled with color :)

That one is so colorful and vibrant. It reminds me of spring. I like the dot work as well. 👍

I almost used all the colored inks I have! ^^ And I felt like I should bring the dot work back. I used to use it a lot in my creations from the previous years.

I'll second bringing the dot work back 😁

Your painting has so much warmth and feeling of summer, the colours and the combination with water effect make it light and airy. Hope you will find some time to catch on your sleep.

Yeah. It is a bit of a struggle. I managed to wake up early for one day, but next one I drifted back right where I started. Now I woke up early again. I hope I can get more of those in the row and then it should be okay. Hopefully :) It is nice to see the sunlight again.

Wow it really looks beautiful. Especially the details! Yeah, they are indeed satisfying to watch!

Aww thank you @rehan12! I hope I captured them well enough. I think I will incorporate more video in future for that reason as well. And perhaps, I need to figure out how to photograph these pieces in almost print ready way.

Yay, thank you @steemflow and the indiaunited team :)

Really beautiful colours 😍

Thank you @witherbloom! Yea, I am so happy with how bright they turned out. I think I used hot pink for the first time here as well. I got so many colored inks and yet I still feel like hoarding even more, hehe! :)

Good job

Thanks! :)

Amazing art I am seeing after long time. Nice usage of colors, and different varieties in drawing.
