My First Post on Sketchbook - Passion restored!

in Sketchbook3 years ago

Hello everyone. Many years ago, when I was in high school, I had a friend very talented at drawings and sketching portraits and fictional characters. I remember my talent was ... zero. I had no skill, imagination, I was far from being considered an artist in this area.
But I've tried and tried, for many months to come. It was a while back, though.

Over the past 10 years, I had very few attempts to draw or sketch something; but somehow, I had a 'flame' to being attracted to this type of art. Although my experience didn't improve much over the years, nowadays, I feel a strong urge and passion to learn to draw, sketch and create art both on paper or my iPad.

Therefore, I am willing to.

I do have a few scans and images of my 'very old' "artwork" I want to share with you. I am sorry I don't have any progress on how I created them, however, some of them are signed as either my name or lovelyscape.

I hope I will be warming accepted in this group, as for now, I started again to draw and learn different colouring techniques on Procreate. But for now, let me share some of, what I considered to be, "artwork" I've made.

This is a scan of two of my drawings, "alien" which I created about 15 years ago by black pen only and the portrait of a girl, created by pen and digitally modified; As I was new to photoshop back then, of course, I added some flame layers, no connection to my drawings or whatsoever.

The next sketching is a bag of money I created on paper with charcoal. This was done like 4-5 years ago when I was working night shifts in a hospital and wanted to make something creative with my time.

Here is another two of my "attempts" to create something lol. As a photographer, I tried to create a camera from the top of my head photographing a landscape. And as for the second sketch, is a scene I've seen on the internet and tried to replicate, but with little success. Those two are just some attempts of sketches!

Now, some of my attempts of learning to create something in Procreate... I feel ashamed of such bad artwork, but, I am willing to learn and improve.

I humbly say thank you for having to deal with these "non-creative attempts of learning and expressing something under a form of art", I hope I am not being too harsh on myself though. I could post from time to time my progress and different results, if that's okay.

I am willing to learn, as I've said, and I would like to create a lot more landscapes and places from "in-location".

I also have a lot more of my sketchings (but not scanned to my computer) back to my home in Romania, and a few more here, but I rather did not post them here as they are quite bad.

It is time for me to learn and practice now!

Great to see you here @lovelyscape 😎 you are being to harsh on yourself…
Every creation is still a creation, a piece of art.

I really like the little house/ landscape you drew.

You started your digital painting I see, I just have no idea how to do that. One day I might learn it when I have more time.
Keep going and show us 😊 looking forward seeing you evolve and starting creating again.

Thank you @littlebee4. It would be a long, but pleasant journey!

You are welcome Gabriel 😊 enjoy it…
