Female portrait

Hello everyone, it's been a few days away from this account and art and I took this time to rest a bit frkm my usual routine.

I found inspiration and just sat to paint a bit today. I wanted to paint in the painterly style which I like in my sketchbook pro app. I painted with paintbrush 4 and used a limited palette focusing on the brown skin tones and purple.

Here is the finished piece

I started with an outline and filled in the base colors

I then continued to paint over to sculpt the face

I blended a little and used my glow brush for the leaves on the head. I don't have the patience to paint tiny objects so I prefer to just do effects instead and shapes to represent them jnstead.

At this stage I began to play with the blend modes and I liked how the 'hard light' blend mode made the face lighter
