Journey Through Art: Finding Calmness in Endless Horizons

in Sketchbook14 days ago

As an artist, I’ve always believed that art should be a journey, not a race. I take my time with each piece, letting the process unfold naturally without rushing. For me, painting is more than just creating something beautiful—it’s about imbuing each scene with a deeper meaning. Inspired by the calmness and nostalgia found in the works of Hiroshi Nagai, I aim to evoke a sense of peace and relaxation through my art.

This piece, titled Endless Horizons, was inspired by the idea of journeys—both the physical and the emotional ones we all take. The road ahead is long and open, a symbol of the endless possibilities in front of us. The desert's vastness mixed with the soft greenery represents the balance between challenge and growth, while the open sky invites a sense of calmness.

My name is NVRMND, and my passion for art began in childhood. Over time, I’ve developed a style rooted in serene landscapes and modern minimalism. Although I love experimenting with different styles—like drawing cartoony characters or skulls—I always find myself returning to these peaceful landscapes, where I can express my thoughts and feelings most authentically.

I’d love to hear your thoughts—what does this painting evoke for you? Does the journey ahead feel peaceful, exciting, or perhaps something else entirely?
