Here I show you a couple of drawings that I did last week in Tavira, in the Algarve, in Portugal.
Tavira, according to the locals, is the only village that maintains the spirit of the old days.
It is a jewel within the modern urbanization of the entire region.
Its cobbled streets, the tiles on the facades reveal the authentic spirit of Portugal.
It is located in the extreme east of the Algarva, near the border with Spain. The beaches are extensive with fine sand, they are located in the Formosa Natural Park, in Ilha Tavira.
The city is crowned by an old castle of Arab origin with a refreshing garden that is a delight to visit in the mornings.
The heart of the city beats around the Roman Bridge that connects both sides of the city across the Gilao River.
With the cliffs of Ponta da Piedade is the most remarkable spot of my trip to Portugal.
I hope you like it, have a good weekend.
Regards,
Javier
