Another drawing for the wall - Drawing number 14

in Sketchbook2 years ago

Hello to all art lovers!!! And one of those who loves fantasy pencil drawings. ^_^

# Portada.jpg

I'm still catching up with several series and movies that I couldn't see at the time, but among so many series and movies (although there were 3 bad ones that fooled me because of the thumbnail, which made me believe that they would be good) I needed to take a break from that entertaining to start drawing something and since this week I start to work again, I took the opportunity to make another drawing for the wall that I am trying to cover, and since this week I had to attend the first teachers' meeting, I had access to my classroom and I was able to put it in its respective place, that way I could publish it to share it with all of you, I hope this year to finish my goal or at least reach half ^_^.

Beginning to draw an Elf

As mentioned I continue with the drawings of "The Lord of the Rings" based on the sketches of the wonderful artist "Stjepan Sejic" take a look at his gallery where I got the reference for this drawing

https://www.deviantart.com/nebezial/gallery

In the drawing of this occasion is a portrait of a beautiful elf.

IMG_20221108_120122.jpg

In this drawing it is a portrait of the face in 3/4, but with the rest of the body in profile, I made the simple sketch as centered on the paper, taking the side of the head as the center, then I began to define the others character traits such as the jewelry with which he adorns his forehead and hair, with that ready I begin to fill in from the right eye.

IMG_20230111_164020.jpg

I had to redraw the iris a couple of times, because the look seemed crooked and the tones didn't seem right to me, when I finished the eye and his eyebrow I continued with the left one and then continued with the nose, which I had to relocate since it was very above the lips, practically all the tonality of the face I did with the 3H pencil and in some parts of the forehead that I used the HB, I made the ear to start with the jewelry that I had to do with the 3H pencil, HB but mainly 2B, I had to reconfigure the chains so that they join more naturally with the hair.

IMG_20230111_201456.jpg

I continued with various shades with the HB for the main fibers of the hair, but in the end I also had to add the 3H, and I also had to add more hair volume to the back of the head to highlight the hairstyle, I had to redraw the shape of the jewelry on the forehead, especially the part that is over the right eye, for the perspective that it showed to work, since the face is illuminated and it is of light tones, I had to mark its contour with the 2B and with this same pencil it was I added contrast and volume to the lips, and with the head practically finished I started to make the neck.

IMG_20230111_210615.jpg

For the rest of the hair, continue with the same shades that I used above, only with the difference, that I first mark the main lines with the 2B, in other words, in the mane I started with the darkest to finish using the lightest, with the 2B pencil. I also marked the outline of the clothes around the neck, I filled it with an almost uniform shade of gray made with the 3H leaving some white parts for highlights, and then I filled it in by applying a lace texture with the HB pencil, when I completed it I I put the chains on the left side to make, which was the only thing that failed to finish drawing.

The drawing was already ready as such, but it felt very flat due to its light tones, so I proceeded to add more contrast using 3B and 6B in its few dark shadows, eyes and contours, so now this beautiful drawing of this elf.
