General to specific drawing - here comes the elephant

in Sketchbook2 years ago

hello,

Today a little less about colors because recently, I focused on drawing from general to specific. I have been very drawn into this method, although I almost have to force myself to practice. To me, it's so hard to believe that it's possible to create something recognizable from a few scribbles.

However, I decided it was time to step outside my comfort zone. Today I took an elefant on the workshop. I started as usual by choosing colors.

Then the hardest part - not to be discouraged by the first, general sketch. Don't think or analyze. Don't stop!

When I got to grips with the sketch and started filling it in with color, I completely forgot about taking screenshots of the progress. Therefore, I only have the result of these struggles :)

Today I'm even satisfied. I see shortcomings, but I'm not going to correct them. I'll just try harder next time. I mean next year ;)

See you 🌺
