Painting Diary 01: The Red Sunset

in Sketchbook2 months ago

Since I already made this account my art account or anything creative (sketches, paintings, photography, poetry), I'll try to share as many as I can. This will serve as my art diary.

I've been doing a bunch of pencil sketches and drawings, so this time, I want to start a series for my paintings. To start with, I'm going to share this simple quick watercolor painting I did a while ago.

It took me around 30 minutes to do this since I had to make the background colors dry first. I should get that USB hand fan or blower for my paintings someday. I think it would help me create stuff much faster. hahah

Anyway, the theme I went for this time is The Red Sunset.

I enjoy painting the sunset, but I've never really made a bloody red one, so I decided to do it. It's just a quick watercolor painting, but I want to do a much better one when I have more time.

Here's some of the progress shots.

I just attached this free watercolor paper I got at the back of my sketchbook and I decided to use my solid watercolor. I personally prefer painting using acrylic paint on my canvas pad, but I didn't have much time earlier.

I mostly just used various hues of orange and red... as well as white and black. I no longer have a white solid watercolor, so I used some white acrylic paint for the highlights.

It's just simple and quickly made, but I hope you still like it. I enjoyed doing this, but I do hope to sit down and take my time painting again soon.

Thanks for checking and see you around! (^^,)/

Thank you so much... 💙✨

It looks lovely 💕

Thanks... 🥰

This is the first post I've read about your paintings. I didn't know that you do art stuff, too. You paint so well, by the way.

Perhaps you've seen some of my stuff in my main account @tegoshei... But I want to put all art-related stuff here instead of my main one. 😁✨

Thanks...💙
