Good morning everyone,
Today I want to share with us my recent drawing which I titled "Alaafia" which is a yoruba word and it means "Peace" in English. For the first time in my entire art journey, this piece happens to be the one I will love with all my heart. It’s a drawing I created admist tears and sadness hoping to create something my heart will so much desires at that moment. The drawing shows a moment of peace where everything is alright. No problems, no noise, no arguments, no sadness just pure inner peace. Anytime I look at this artwork (cus I decided to make it my wallpaper) it reminds me of something I know I will still experience one day and it ends up calming me down at that moment. There is something about it that is beyond something I can type. I can’t even describe it but I’m so glad I’m able to create this piece.
ZOOM INS
I decided to challenge myself a bit with this work by drawing this realistic afro loc style and it was fun creating it. I actually thought it will be difficult to create but to my surprise, it was actually easy for me. I also love the skin tone as everything blended perfectly well together. In the background, I put some stars, yin and yang, snow flakes and musical signs to signify things I find to be most peaceful. I hope this piece gives you that inner piece just as it does to me.

Such a beautiful drawing
I usually pay a lot of attention to women's eyebrows (they catch my attention), and I must admit that I loved the realistic look of yours, the realism and the texture of the skin and hair are impressive.
Very very very good job @gloriaolar
