Painting a Rose: Pink

In my culture flowers aren't really a big deal but then every plant is important. When first I started seeing movies as a kid and flowers were given as an expression I can remember always thinking how they were going to cook it and which soup they would make... Lol

That young lad has grown in person and understanding. And one of the things I've come to appreciate is how flowers propel colours. The subtleness and delicacy of the plant and colour makes a perfect match.

1 made this drawing using a set of MasterArt coloured pencils:

• Two shades of Peach
• Four shades of Pink
• Three shades of Red
• A touch of Yellow
• Three shades of Green

And also I used an HB pencil for the lineart an an 8B Graphite Bianyo for some dark shades.
