Do you remember that a while ago I made a block size portrait for a couple? Well, they liked it so much that they sent me to commission a large family painting. I immediately accepted the proposal, and after buying some materials, I began to make this large portrait at the end of September. Due to the fact that I was very busy with the tasks and demands of the university, I had not been able to dedicate the time it required until December arrived, that was when I began to advance it more, and now! I have finally finished it and I have the opportunity to show it to you! at the end of the post I will show the original image so that you can appreciate the resemblance, and without further ado guys... let's start!

At first it was not easy, because the photo they sent me to portray lacked a lot of quality, so I had a lot of problems detailing and shaping the faces, also, during the process, the paper got stained, and in the attempt Erasing the stain only made it worse and caused a big hole in the paper hahahaha I thought I could hide it but obviously it wasn't, so I had to start from the beginning.
Como pueden ver la pagina tenia algunos rayones alrededor de los rostros, pero no me preocuparon, ya que de todos modos el fondo iba a hacerlo negro con el lápiz de carboncillo, por lo que no tenian importancia.
As you can see the page had some scratches around the faces, but they didn't bother me, since I was going to make the background black with the charcoal pencil anyway, so they didn't matter.
La piel del niño es mas oscura por lo que afinqué un poco mas el lapiz H2, y para las sombras pasé con suavidad el lapiz B1 en zigzags y circulos muy pequeños, difumino directamente con mi dedo para darle la textura sueve de la piel.
The child's skin is darker, so I sharpened the H2 pencil a little more, and for the shadows I gently passed the B1 pencil in zigzags and very small circles, I blended directly with my finger to give it the soft texture of the skin.
Dibujo la base de la bebe y la madre con el lapiz B1, y para las partes oscuras como el abrigo de la bebe, los ojos, cabellos, y la ropa de la madre utilizo el B6.
I draw the base of the baby and the mother with the B1 pencil, and for the dark parts like the baby's coat, the eyes, hair, and the mother's clothes I use the B6.
This is formally the first painting made in my life and my motivation to continue making larger and more elaborate paintings that allow me to expand my skills, and through it, grow as an artist, I just have about two weeks of vacation and I have more free time to draw and finish some projects and works that had been paused, so we will see you very soon with new news
