DRAWING STUDY REFLECTION

Today at school, I engaged in a quick drawing study. Actually the goal was to capture the essence and proportions of the subject within a limited timeframe, to enhance my observation skills and speed.

I concentrated on using the hatching method to shade my drawing which allowed me to work loosely and quickly, prioritizing the overall form over intricate details. This approach helped me develop a better sense of shading and I found that the time constraint pushed me to make more instinctive artistic decisions.

Overall, the study was a great exercise in improving my ability to convey a subject’s form while maintaining accuracy and expression..
