I haven't been able to share any drawings on the platform for a couple of months now, and I was really looking forward to doing it. That's why today, excited, I want to share with you the step by step of a new original character.
His name is Meehto, and he is a black ram that I designed with the intention of telling many stories starring him. Whenever I design my main characters, I do it with a clear idea in mind about what stories I would tell with them, so even before finishing the design of our beloved ram, I already had his story defined.
And it would start like this: newly arrived in the big city, young Meehto works to follow his dream of becoming a chef, while struggling to find his place in the concrete jungle.
As an addition, I wanted Meehto to be a premature ram, to develop a story based on his problem with growing horns. I am very satisfied with the final result, so without further ado I will present you the step by step of: Meehto, the young ram.
Desde hace par de varios meses no había podido compartir ningún dibujo por la plataforma, y de corazón esperaba con ansias el poder hacerlo. Es por eso que hoy, emocionado, les quiero compartir el paso a paso de un nuevo personajes original.
Su nombre es Meehto, y es un carnero negro que diseñe con la intención de contar muchas historias protagonizadas por él. Siempre que diseño a mis protagonistas, lo hago con una idea clara en mente acerca de que historias contaría con ellos, por lo que desde antes de terminar el diseño de nuestro querido carnero, ya tenía su historia definida.
Y comenzaria de esta manera: recién llegado a la gran ciudad, el joven Meehto trabaja por seguir su sueño de ser chef, mientras lucha por encontrar su lugar en la jungla de concreto.
Como agregado, quería que Meehto fuera un carnero prematuro, para desarrollar una historia en base a su problema con el crecimiento de sus cuernos. Estoy muy satisfecho con el resultado final, por lo que sin mas dilación les presentaré el paso a paso de: Meehto, el joven carnero.
Step by Step:
First, I made a rather rustic and simple sketch of our protagonist.
Then, I defined in a better way Meehto's features and characteristics, adding also objects in the background to decorate the scene a little bit.
Then, having done the design, I decided to focus on the LineArt of our main character, polishing details and fixing mistakes. I also decided to make Meehto's LineArt with colored lines, leaving everything ready to start coloring our main character.
After having finished with Meehto's coloring, I made the LineArt of the table where our lamb would be lying down, and the plate in the center of it. I also made the LineArt of the hamburger that accompanied the table, and I left everything ready for the coloring of them.
Then, I decided to make the LineArt of the remaining objects of the scenography (the sofa and the chair) in the same way I illustrated the previous objects. Also, I made the carpet where the table would be resting and I left everything ready to color every detail.
Finally, I decided to visualize the layer where our protagonist was illustrated and colored to be able to observe more clearly how Meehto would look with the decoration of his apartment, and then add my signature and conclude the illustration.
And so, this is the end of today's publication. I loved coming back to the platform, and introducing you to my new original character. It was an amazing experience that I hope to do more often. I am very satisfied and pleased with the final result of Meehto, and I hope you like it as much as I do.
