Hace ya casi un mes que no comparto nada por acá, y me apetecía garabatear un poco, por lo que decidí hacer un dibujo digital.
No tenía ninguna idea o concepto en mente, solo las ganas latentes de ilustrar, por lo que decidí abrir pinterest para buscar un poco de inspiración y referencias.
Fue allí como encontré la fotografái de un hombre asiatico, sosteniendo un libro viejo, que me interesó mucho. Decidí usarlo de referencia para un boceto rustico y realizar un concepto en base a ello.
Sin más dilación, he aquí el Paso a Paso de ese concepto. Espero de corazón les guste tanto como a mi. Un gran abrazo y recuerden beber mucha agua.
It's been almost a month since I've shared anything here, and I felt like doodling a bit, so I decided to make a digital drawing.
I didn't have any idea or concept in mind, just the latent desire to illustrate, so I decided to open pinterest to look for some inspiration and references.
It was there that I found a picture of an asian man, holding an old book, which interested me a lot. I decided to use it as a reference for a rustic sketch and make a concept based on it.
Without further ado, here is the Step by Step of that concept. I sincerely hope you like it as much as I do. A big hug and remember to drink lots of water.
Step by Step:
Primero, comencé haciendo un boceto rustico del personaje.
First, I started by making a rustic sketch of the character.
Luego de ello me enfoqué en definir, lo mas claro posible, su rostro, cabello, y ropa. Detallando las lineas de expresión en su rostro, y lios pliegues en su camisa, como también los difeerntes mechones en su cabello.
After that I focused on defining, as clearly as possible, her face, hair, and clothes. Detailing the lines of expression on his face, and the creases in his shirt, as well as the different strands in his hair.
Tras esto, lo siguiente que hice fue enfocarme en el Line Art. Pulí las líneas e intenté respetar el diseño rustico al máximo, ya que me gustó muchísimo, dejando todo listo para el coloreado. Quería que la iluminación viniera desde su espalda, como si la luz atravesara una ventana en un pequeño cuarto, generando bastantes sombras en nuestro protagonista.
After that, the next thing I did was to focus on the line art. I polished the lines and tried to respect the rustic design as much as possible, as I liked it very much, leaving everything ready for coloring. I wanted the lighting to come from his back, as if the light was coming through a window in a small room, generating quite a few shadows on our protagonist.
Tambien quería que el color de sus ojos fuese intenso, y que brillara sin importar la iluminación, por lo que los coloreé de amarillo, generando lo que yo considero una filosa mirada.
I also wanted the color of his eyes to be intense, and to shine regardless of the lighting, so I colored them yellow, generating what I consider a sharp look.
Habiendo culminado con el coloreado completo de nuestro protagonista, decidí concentrarme en colorear un fondo. Comencé con un color base pastel, y le coloqué manchones encima de diferentes tonalidades para intentar crear objetos desenfocados. Quería que se diera a entender que nuestro protagonista se encontraba dentro de una habitación, con una pequeña ventana en su costado, y considero se logro el objetivo.
Having finished with the complete coloring of our protagonist, I decided to concentrate on coloring a background. I started with a pastel base color, and then I placed spots of different shades on top of it to try to create out-of-focus objects. I wanted to give the impression that our protagonist was inside a room, with a small window on his side, and I think I achieved my goal.
Con el fondo y personaje culminados, decidí visualizar a ambos en un mismo lienzo y colocar mi firma en la parte superior derecha del dibujo, dando por finalizado mi ilustración.
With the background and character completed, I decided to visualize both on the same canvas and place my signature in the upper right part of the drawing, thus finalizing my illustration.
Y con esto, doy por culiminada mi publicación del día de hoy. Me gustó mucho el resultado final, me siento muy orgulloso de la manera en la que coloreé las sombras en el personaje, y lo detallado de las líneas en su cabello.
