Commissioned piece by a grandchild...

Today, I'd like to share another commissioned piece...a really special one.
I had the honor of creating a graphite drawing for a grandchild - dedicated to their late grandmother.
Upon receiving the commission, I knew how this drawing would hold deep value for the grandchild... so we decided, it would be better for me to work on A3 size.
In the drawing her grandmother's warm smile, radiating kindness was my main goal to capture.

When I presented the finished drawing to the grandchild, her reaction was really overwhelming. She expressed her deep appreciation for the artwork, as she's an artist herself, her gratitude were beyond mere words... It was obvious that the drawing resonated deeply within her heart.

I think, as time passes, memories can fade, and the details of loved ones can become blurry. However, through art, we - artists - have the ability to preserve and honor those memories - as it's really personal to create a portrait like this.
I truly think commissioned drawings/paintings serve such a great reminder of the love...wisdom...joy that someone brought into the someone's life.

~Size: A3 - 29,7x42cm.
~Paper : 250gms;
~Pencils, : Mechanical pencils, Graphite - Koh-i-Noor, Creatacolor.
~Other materials for blending - q-tips, eyeshadow applicator, tissue.
~Sakura gel pen (white).
