First time using Sketchbook app

in Sketchbook3 days ago (edited)

Have to say right away -> I'm not talented at drawing, like at all, but when I'm in the mood I love to act like I am (flips her hair to the side and puts the brush between her teeth 😁). Last night before bed I played a game of Solitaire on my phone (the app that came with it) and realized I didn't feel like playing anymore, so I deleted it. Then I was like... I need to install something else and in the suggested apps the Sketchbook drawing app popped up. Alright then, downloading starts . . .

When it comes to my earlier digital drawing, the furthest I ever got was Paint, when I was little, silly and not exactly wise, pretty much like today. xD

What else would I draw first but green grass covering half the screen, orange sun up in the top right and a “blue wind” swirling through the middle of the screen. Not inspiring at all, I knoooow, someone probably saw the famous Windows desktop green meadow the same way at first, but then...🤑

Is it Bunny or Duck?

This afternoon, out of nowhere, this grumpy Bunny appeared. I won't lie, it wasn't completely out of nowhere. I was supposed to take a shower, but I kept walking toward the bathroom and then coming back to my mobile like I suddenly had something more important to do, I am sure psychologists have a professional term for that, too. xD
I didn’t think to screenshot the very beginning, but believe me, even I was surprised when it actually started to look like something that made sense, phahhaa. So, whether it's a Bunny, a Duck or mix, it doesn't matter. I didn't dare to erase anything cause I know I would mess up everything around it, so I confidently threw myself into coloring. 🎨

The Bunny then decided that he didn't want to be grumpy anymore, so he started changing his whole look. First he put on a smile, then he made his eyes smile too, swapped his grumpy confidence for a shy sideways glance and hid behind thick glasses. ☺️

How a few small changes can change the whole attitude. Whose rose would you rather take? The first character's or the second one's? And why? 🤗

This is about when I finally realized that the canvas can be zoomed in, ahahhah. Please don't ask me why it didn't occur to me right away. Whenever I made a wrong line or colored over the one, I would just hit UNDO a million times. 😅

All in all, for a second drawing, it didn't turn out that bad. Plus, it would be much easier with a stylus or a bigger screen. Now I have got another "brilliant" idea: I should install it on the tablet. Until then, BunnyDuck/DuckBunny sends everyone greetings and wishes you a good night and sweet dreams. 🤭

By the way, I was thinking of making an animation too, but I'll save that for another time when I remember on time to capture every single step from the very beginning. Think it might be interesting. Byebye! :*

When I saw your post, I saw a rabbit, but I'm reading and you write that it's a duck. Honestly, because of the ears, it looks more like a rabbit from your imagination. I'm glad you're trying to do something original and your own. Every beginning is difficult. So don't give up. Practice drawing and work spontaneously and enjoy it. That way you will develop your creativity and your Sketchbook works will get better and better. I wish you good weather and happy holidays.

Well, it's also a duck is because of that orange mouth, hihi. Mešavina slona i seoske džukele. 😅 Thank you for these kind words and support. You, too! 🤗🤗🤗

Sweet. Nice creation!
