Today I’d like to share my watercolor painting that I did this morning. I’ve been sick for 3 days now, and got bored sitting home.
Let’s check out the process photos and all about it.
Materials used.
Regular pencil
Pink Eraser
”Arteza” Watercolor notebook
”Koi” watercolors
White acrylic paint
Process
- I woke up and had this idea of drawing a red bike next to the lamp post, and snow all around. As always I begin with the pencil drawing.
- I wet applied a lot of water to my paper to make sure it’s damp enough for the colors to blend. Then begin with the yellow light.
- Then while the paper is still wet I work on snow color, it takes most of the paper.
- After that I switch to the details. I paint a base for our snowman, a tree, a sled with a child in it and his dad.
- In this step I finish with peoples’s clothes and paint the lamp post.
- Here I’m painting the bike, slightly visible shop, wreath on the door, and finish the snowman and all the casted shadows on the snow.
- I’m almost done, I add details to the building, make dad’s boots brighter, and add more yellow lights to the tree.
- This is my favorite part, I take a little bit of white acrylic get a bit of water and start making snow by dripping paint on the paper.
