Me complace compartir estas lindas fotos que tome de estas dos plantitas que compre este fin de semana.
Aquí les presento mi primera suculenta, tiene un color morado muy lindo, la escogió mi hija, y también este cactus nuevo para hacer parte de la colección, también me regalaron estas tres muditas de cactus que espero que prosperen.
Hablando de la suculenta, me puse a investigar a ver de qué tipo es o que nombre tiene y me encontré con un mundo totalmente nuevo y vasto de suculentas que me apasionó, hay miles de tipos, formas y colores.
Al parecer este ejemplar que tengo es del Género “Echeveria”, o llamadas también rosas de piedra, por la forma en la que crecen las hojas. También que la coloración morada de las hojas se debe a la exposición al sol, que debo ser cuidadosa con la humedad pues ya de por si son húmedas, así que no debo colocarle más agua de la necesaria, apenas una cucharada de agua, me recomendó la persona que me la vendió. Por estos días aun no le coloque agua pues el día ha estado húmedo por la lluvia y aún tiene la tierra húmeda.
Corrección: si pueden leer en los comentarios verán que unos chicos muy geniales me han informado que esta suculenta no se trata de una echeveria, sino más bien de un graptosedum, Muchas gracias por sus amables comentarios chicos. Sobre este cactus, no me arriesgare a dar muchos detalles, pero si entendí que son llamados “opuntia”, por su forma plana y redondeada parecidas a paletas. Este ejemplar que tengo puede florecer así que esperemos como pasa el tiempo si las condiciones amiéntales son favorables y nos regala una florecita.

I am pleased to share these nice pictures I took of these two little plants I bought this weekend.
Here is my first succulent, it has a very nice purple color, my daughter chose it, and also this new cactus to be part of the collection, I was also given these three little cactus seedlings that I hope they thrive.
Speaking of the succulent, I started to investigate to see what type it is or what name it has and I found a whole new and vast world of succulents that I was passionate about, there are thousands of types, shapes and colors.
Apparently this specimen I have is of the Genus "Echeveria", or also called stone roses, because of the way the leaves grow. Also that the purple coloration of the leaves is due to the exposure to the sun, that I must be careful with the humidity because they are already humid, so I should not put more water than necessary, just a spoonful of water, the person who sold it to me recommended. For these days I still do not put water because the day has been humid because of the rain and the soil is still humid.

About this cactus, I will not risk to give many details, but I understood that they are called "opuntia", by their flat and rounded form similar to paletas. This specimen that I have can bloom so let's wait as time goes by if the conditions are favorable and it gives us a little flower.

El cactus es opuntia microdasys u orejas de Mickey, pero en estos temas siempre busco la ayuda de @ewkaw y de @nikv verdad? Yo he querido comprar suculentas pero siento que se me van a morir, lo mío lo mío son los cactus jaja, bonitas fotos.
Definitely Opuntia! I saw them in the shop last week to, but I am staying away from those. You pet it once and you will learn not to do it ever again :p
The second plant is not Echeveria. I am betting on Graptosedum, but I am sure Nikv will know better.

Yes, @ewkaw it is a graptosedum. That means it is a hybrid of a Sedum and a Graptopetalum.
The Opuntia is cute although I have a habit of eating Opuntia. Nopales are a different species although I'm sure you could eat that one too hahaha
@monster-one, that's the best way to grow cacti :) Sometimes I buy seeds and nothing germinates and then I buy other plants, leave them outside in the summer rain and all kinds of things sprout
I have some huge nopales here, although I have let everything grow as if it were a jungle to be useful for macro photography, I have to hurry to do everything I can this week to clean up next week, I think I will introduce you to the new babies soon.
