Maybe I can give you some pointers or advice looking at it from my perspective as a manual curator…
Thank you for opening up such a forum for discussion with you directly.
Everybody wants upvotes, that’s facts. Me (and you included). I understand making quality content is what can get you upvotes. (All the measures of “quality” on the blockchain being taken into consideration)
I spend two and half hours on average on a post(writing and editing). I put a lot of effort into making sure that my posts do not only make sense, or adds value, but I also try to make anyone reading my post enjoy reading. To say it simply, I put a lot of effort in making a post.
I mentioned how long I spend making a post somewhere and it shocked the people. Some of them use under 45minutes to write, edit, and publish posts.
This has affected my consistency a bit cuz it is actually work for me to be here and make content and engage. While it is “not that hard” for some. It got kinda frustrating making this effort to create content and getting barely any sense of appreciation for my efforts from the blockchain.
This is something I just needed to get out. I am not asking for anything. I have grown on the blockchain and have come to understand it more now.
Thanks for creating the platform for me to let my frustrations out.
May I suggest that maybe it will be easier if you do perhaps one post every three days for a while, and use the other days purely for comments and browsing? Also, do you use Discord? Once you have made friends and found your place, Hive won't feel like work, but will be a joy.
Welcome, I hope you will learn to love it here as much as I do :)
Thank you so much.
Yes I use discord now. When I mentioned at the last part that I’ve grown on the blockchain discord is part of the tools I have learned about which has helped me a lot. I have joined communities and met other creators whom I interact with on their posts.
I am still unlearning that consistency is not doing something every single day. When I miss up to three days I get worked up about it. And it makes me feel I’m failing to keep my focus which affects me mentally.
Really thank you so much. This is really helpful. I will put your advice into consideration.
A lot of the top creators don't post every day. In fact some make posts which can take over a day to create. So long as you post a couple of times a week and engage daily, you are ok. Once you get settled in you can focus more on making it daily :)
This is really helpful.
I sincerely appreciate you.
My pleasure :) Hive should be a joy, not something that you do just for the possible earnings
Yes. I’m now having much fun here
Awesome, that's really even more valuable than the other types of rewards :) ...
