So the question is should we have curation based on views ?
Put differently....should the algorithm be tweaked in a way that pushes the posts that have more views?
I would personally place views as the major determinant of the overall value of a post, regardless of how much that post earns or how many comments it gets. There are so many silent readers as well and even more so views also count the first-hand impression even if it happens to be a cursory look.
The real glamour in Web 2.0 is the follower base and the the views are deeply integrated into the follower base in an organic way. Unfortunately, it is not the same in Web 3.0, may be it's still a work in progress. But here our follower base is most likely graveyard or become graveyard after 1or 2 years. And the reward system has nothing to do with the follower base or views, that is why it has not been able to feature as a major determinant. In web 2.0 that has been a major determinant on any given day.
This is interesting topic you have floated at the right time, I hope the wider community would take this discussion further and wider. And I hope we reach an objective resolution in "views".
Thank you.

Ya, I know it's not inbuilt, but time has come when we reward people who promote hive outside. I never cared about rewards though, for me, the real people appreciating matters a lot.
True.....even a 10% crowd if switches to web 3.0 it can create a chain reaction and network effect.
