RE: Why should you get more upvotes?

in Ask the Hive2 years ago

In my own understanding, I think that I should get more upvotes because I am writing with original content, with quality atleast for me because I did my best to write them and also I engage with others by reading, commenting and upvoting their blogs as long as I can. I also reblog contents that I like that brings some messages, lessons, or teaching to others.

I can't still understand why other people receive a lot of upvotes but maybe their reputation is high and they have a lot of followers and they engage more and more.

All I know is I need to engage more and I am trying to work it out as long as I have time.

That's a good attitude to have and will definitely reward you long term, I can see you already do very well with how your content gets consumed and engagement occurs. Rewards are okay as well from what I can see, something to keep in mind is that the most important part of the rewards is the hive rewards as the hbd ones can adjust quite a lot based on market swings, in that regard I think you're doing really decent. Keep it up!

Thank you so much for this inspirational response.

You mentioned about hive rewards, are they the same with hive power? Rewards are divided into two, hbd and hive power. I keep the hbd and just let my hive power grows.

Yeah, but you can also for instance go 100% power up on posts to receive both as Hive (Power) when you feel like Hive is too low in the markets, then potentially power down a bit and sell for HBD later than just always accepting half as HBD. That's kind of a personal preference and can be a bit risky, though, if you have to wait a long time for the markets and may need some hbd(USD) at some point.

This is also another advise. I haven't tried powering down ever since and don't experience it yet how it works.

Some also advice to keep the hbd, put it into savings for it to grows.

For now, I will go this way because I can easily sell my hbd if I need some finances. Thank you so much for your advice. Hopefully I can try it one day.
