That is indeed the biggest problem! And I need some new software, like photoshop. I am using an outdated old program from my youth.

i use photoshop too (have an old version 5.5, and more recent version from 2021), can help you with the installer, that is not a big problem... but one need a powerful PC indeed, to run and process it... actually i do remember some milestones that mark my computer upgrades, and it is exactly the raw processing, that pushed me to do upgrade the N-1 time. 😎
PS. a little free soft RAW Therapee also can do the job...

Yeh, that is the problem. You need some power on your side. My laptop I am using is still from 2017 or somewhere there. I have not had the time to upgrade nor the money. But this year or next year I am going to buy a better system with more power and a new camera. If all goes to plan that is! Thanks for the help. I really appreciate it.
upgrades are a must, from time to time.
I obtained a powerful Dell notebook for my wife, and myself still work on PC from 2010 8-) I wish you well. 🙏

Thank you so much! I am also thinking about going from a laptop to a desktop PC. You can upgrade it more easily and keep it up to date. Laptops are not that forgiving.
