Nostalgia is a powerful force. Transformers was not a thing when I was a kid, but then I loved Star Wars and now I have some Lego sets from that. Those can be expensive. My son has some really big sets and he also like Star Wars so it crosses generations.

I expect you will be checking the sales to see if that one gets discounted :)
