Finally Hong Kong become free of masks
At a press conference on Feb. 28, government officials including John LEE, the Chief Executive, announced that Hong Kong would lift its mask-wearing requirement from March 1.
Hong Kong's mask-wearing measures came into effect on July 15, 2020. After three years, Hong Kong people and visitors no longer need to wear masks to go out in the city.
Citizens can freely decide whether to wear a mask when taking public transportation or going to a medical institution for medical treatment.
The relaxation came after the neighboring Macau Special Administrative Region lifted its requirement to wear masks outdoors on Monday, Feb. 27.
