Being The Main Character for the Day. 33rd Birthday and Father's Day Celebration

Today is Father's Day, and it is a day of celebrating fatherhood, special bonds with dads or other male role models, and the influence they have on their families. Today is a day of gift giving and special dinners for our dear devoted dads.

In the Ramos' household when I was a single young man this event is not celebrated. Though we know the said date we never had a chance to greet our late dad and celebrate it with him. He knows that he was loved but we are not that showy nor vocal with such actions. Hence when I had my own family now, I was still new to such celebrations. Even my birthday is not that celebrated too ( btw today's also my birthday) as we are not used to prepping everything.

Sunday morning, we went to attend the service in Victory San Pablo after singing the worship songs Pastor Dennis called the fathers to stand so that they can be prayed by the congregation for their well being. Being a father is tough job and the prayer and support from everyone within the community is well appreciated.

After the prayer, they gave us a small gift of screwdrivers which I will probably not be using as handiwork isn't in the list of skill sets that I have. But this will be added in the toolbox that I will be creating in the future as you will never know when you might need one from the previous days we were looking for tools in our household but weren't able to find such as hammer and wrench.

I haven't completed the whole preaching as I am the one assigned to take care of Dyn in the kid's church. Every week we make sure that she try to join as a way for socialization with other kids around and yes she already knows the song Jesus Loves Me, yes I Know.

Since today's also my birthday, I originally planned to bring Dyn and April to a Samgyup place after church. We haven't had one for a year already but since it is also Father's day we agreed to just celebrate it in one go. I ordered the promo in Jollibee the 8 pieces of chicken in a bucket with spaghetti and rice and drink for around 700 PHP. It was a steal already as if individual meals will cost a person around 150 PHP or more. This is a take-away order and we ate the meal at my in-laws' house so that we could have lunch together.

After lunch I just responded to the greetings from friends and then slept and woke up today so that I can go back with my Hive blogging :)
